RallyUp Magazine
Dear Family & Friends,
At We Fight Foundation, Inc., our commitment to addressing youth mental health challenges stems from our why; the urgent need to combat the rising tide of youth suicides, overdoses, and mental health crises, particularly within underserved communities and among youth of color. Our work is deeply rooted in trauma-informed, healing-centered approaches that emphasize youth mental health literacy, social-emotional learning, and creative expression. Through school-based outreach and community support, we meet young people and their families where they are, helping them build the resilience necessary to overcome adversity and thrive.
Welcome to RallyUp Magazine, the official faith-based mental health magazine of We Fight Foundation, Inc.. More than just a publication, it serves as a platform to foster hope, understanding, and empowerment. Our mission is to promote mental wellness, especially within communities of color. RallyUp Magazine offers practical tools, expert advice, inspirational stories, and a wealth of resources, all focused on enhancing youth mental health literacy. We empower both youth and families to navigate the complexities of mental health and cultivate lasting resilience. Through RallyUp Magazine, we are also giving a voice to the voiceless, ensuring that the stories and struggles of marginalized youth are heard and understood. We hope to reduce the struggle of youth who are struggling in silence, providing them the support they need to thrive.
As an integral part of our nonprofit, We Fight Foundation, Inc., we proudly lead the #RallyUp2SaveLives Movement. This movement unites a diverse community of individuals, mental health professionals, peer supports, educators, activists, researchers, and families; all working together to combat youth and young adult suicide, addiction, and mental health stigma. Through this collective strength, we seek to create a global impact by advocating for open, honest conversations about youth mental health and addiction, while ensuring that youth mental health literacy becomes a cornerstone of every community.
We are also excited to introduce The Wellness Ink Project (WIP), an internship designed to provide high school and college students with a unique opportunity to merge mental wellness and media. WIP will serve as a continuation of our movement to #RallyUp2SaveLives. This internship program will also be an integral addition to RallyUp Magazine, empowering youth to create content, share their stories, and amplify the importance of mental wellness through the power of media.
If you haven’t yet joined our movement, we welcome you to do so. Together, we can continue building hope, spreading support, and empowering communities to embrace mental wellness. Our rallying cry, "I Fight, You Fight, We Fight Together!", symbolizes the unity, strength, and dedication we share in making a difference. By joining us, you become an advocate for positive change, offering inspiration and support to those navigating the complexities of mental health.
Together, we can work toward a future where young people, especially those in communities of color, are equipped with the tools, knowledge, and resources they need to thrive. This is the future we’re building: one of hope, healing, and resilience.
Blessings & Love,
Niki Powell-Cottman
